Synopsis for: Isekai Shikkaku (Summer 2024)

A suicidal author finds himself whisked away to a fantastical land – a place that would be any otaku's dream with its fantastical creatures and video game-like magic. Yet, for this particular protagonist, it's a major inconvenience. Unlike the usual isekai hero, he has zero interest in grand adventures or saving the world. All he craves is a peaceful demise to fulfill his morbid pact. However, fate seems to have a twisted sense of humor. No matter how recklessly he throws himself into danger, some stroke of luck or chance encounter keeps him frustratingly alive. Now, burdened with a persistent elf priestess who believes him to be a hero and a catgirl companion he can't quite seem to remember the name of, this gloomy protagonist must navigate this bizarre world, all while searching for a way to fulfill his dark wish and, perhaps even more surprisingly, a reason to keep living.
