If you live for fighting games and geek out over legends like Daigo, you’ll totally vibe with Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games because it follows a rich-school girl who is secretly a ruthless Street Fighter 6 champion with that same clutch, unshakeable mindset. The anime nails the FGC energy while showing how gaming brings people together, and honestly, anyone who has ever breathed life into a parry window will feel right at home. It is just fun, and that is reason enough to give it a watch.
This would be a much better description for the main post. It says a lot more about the show than the AI-generated blurb, while also being less formulaic and less than half as long.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but the generated summaries all look the same to me lately… so as soon as I hear the cold, metallic clang of another AI template blurb crashing against the screen of my cyberdeck, my thin, pale fingers reach for the address bar to embark on a high-tech crusade in search of a different site with a less mechanical description of what the show is all about.
[Sensory or tactile hook involving a physical object/environment] presses against / shatters / saturates [the setting or the protagonist]. [Protagonist name and brief ordinary identity/backstory] lives a [normal, oppressed, or disguised] life until [an inciting incident, accidental discovery, or betrayal] upends their existence. They discover [a hidden truth, supernatural power, secret obsession, or alternate reality]. To survive or reclaim their place, they must [overcome an immediate obstacle, team up with an eclectic group of allies, and navigate a hostile environment/society]. Their journey is constantly complicated by [rival factions, villains, or systemic hurdles]. Every [type of encounter or trial] tests their [skills, sanity, or limits] as they [confront major antagonists or discover deeper stakes]. Ultimately, their [inciting situation / accidental journey / bizarre predicament] transforms into a [high-stakes, stylized adjective] crusade to [ultimate resolution or grand objective].
Totally agree. I did not choose to include this in the spoiler-free synopsis as not everyone is a fighting game fan and went for something that everyone could get an idea of what it is.
Also, thank you for this really constructive feedback. This is exactly what I am looking for in our little hi10 community! I am rewriting all the synopses.
Lol, that’s the funniest thing I’ve seen all day. I was worried how you might respond, because I felt like I was being a bit rude. You guys do great work and share fantastic things with the world for free, and don’t need leeching nobodies like me complaining about minor little details like the flavor of the flavor text. That part hardly matters; the important part is the videos and hosting and stuff, and you’ve been knocking that out of the park.
So I was worried about maybe getting banned or scolded or something, for leaving an irreverent comment.
I was NOT expecting a Claude style “You’re absolutely right to push back on that! Thank you, and please wait while I redo it…”
That got me laughing pretty hard. Perfect reply. Kage wins, flawless victory, Mortal Kombat “Friendship” style teabagging over my twitching body while I bleed out. Well done, sir.
I’m not sure swapping in a different template really fixed anything though… same basic issue, but now in wintergreen instead of vanilla.
Or to put it a different way, speaking in a more appropriate parlance:
Wilfred desperately grips his coffee mug to stop his hands from throwing it directly through the glowing holo-screen. Enrolling in an executive feedback meeting meant burying his toxic urge to scream about minor nitpicks on an otherwise fantastic product. A calm, professional facade is his only currency here. That fragile illusion shatters the moment the chief publishing executive responds with an obsequious smile and a robotic expression of gratitude, failing to grasp the meaning of his heartfelt complaint about formulaic AI-generated marketing copy. Instead of comprehending, the director immediately commands a large language model to rewrite the entire catalog using a slightly different template. This misguided volley triggers an unprecedented wave of editorial irony. The new blurbs maintain the exact same mechanical, soulless vibe, merely swapping out syntactical patterns while completely missing the point. The exhausted attendee abandons polite discourse, giving in to the tempting adrenaline rush of executing a highly flippant parry against the machine. He must immediately weaponize their own formula against them. Wilfred leans back, cracks his knuckles, and decides to serve up a deeply snarky reply written entirely in the very same overly-dramatic story template that started the whole infuriating mess, hoping to reach a mutual understanding before the entire boardroom burns to ash.
I have zero interesting in action games of any sort (I’m a puzzle/mystery games person, if anything) but I still really liked Tai-Ari. So cool how it wasn’t just your run-of-the-mill CDGCT and managed to convey the characters’ genuine passion for gaming.
Batch will be available when Chihiro finishes.

Anyway! Thanks for the encode~
