Driven by a childhood promise and an absolute obsession with baking, he embarks on a lifelong quest to create a national pastry capable of rivaling the prestigious culinary traditions of France and Germany. Leaving his rural hometown behind, the ambitious teenager travels to Tokyo to secure a position at Pantasia, the most elite bakery franchise in the country. He immediately discovers that raw talent alone cannot guarantee his employment, forcing him to compete in a grueling rookie examination against highly educated culinary students. During these intense baking trials, he forms a chaotic rivalry with the highly technical but deeply insecure Kyosuke Kawachi, testing their respective skills under extreme pressure. Their unconventional baking methods soon attract the attention of Tsukino Azusagawa, an ostracized heiress to the Pantasia empire who recognizes Kazuma's chaotic genius. Under the watchful eye of eccentric mentors and harsh judges, the young baker must continuously weaponize his creativity to survive ridiculous, high-stakes cooking tournaments. Ultimately, his simple desire to bake transforms into a frantic, high-temperature crusade to revolutionize the domestic culinary industry and introduce a legendary national bread to the entire world.
