| Cold, biting snow crunches beneath the desperate footsteps of a terrified child running from a bloodthirsty predator. Yuki Cross remembers absolutely nothing of her life prior to a freezing night a decade ago when a beautiful, aristocratic vampire named Kaname Kuran saved her from a lethal attack. Now functioning as the adopted daughter of the headmaster at the prestigious Cross Academy, she operates as a disciplinary Guardian tasked with a highly classified mission. The institution harbors a massive secret, dividing its student body between an oblivious human Day Class and an elite, vampiric Night Class completely comprised of incredibly attractive aristocrats. Yuki patrols the campus alongside her childhood friend Zero Kiryu, a deeply traumatized hunter whose entire family was slaughtered by a rogue Pureblood. While she actively attempts to broker a fragile peace between the two factions out of gratitude toward Kaname, her abrasive partner harbors a lethal, obsessive hatred for every single nocturnal creature. The precarious disciplinary balance begins to violently unravel when Zero manifests terrifying symptoms of an incurable vampiric infection, revealing he was bitten during his tragic past. Forced to conceal his degrading condition from the very students they protect, the desperate Guardian must navigate a tangled web of supernatural politics and blossoming romantic tensions. Ultimately, her noble peacekeeping mission transforms into a high-stakes psychological struggle to prevent her closest friend from devolving into a feral beast while uncovering the dark, hidden motives behind her savior's protective gaze.
