| Cold, jagged plastic of a discarded game controller digs into the calloused hands of a perpetually broke high school student. Riku Suigin navigates his grueling daily existence by balancing multiple exhausting part-time jobs just to afford basic necessities. His only genuine escape from this crushing poverty exists within the digital realm of a massively popular online RPG where he reigns supreme as a legendary, undefeated player. Despite his unparalleled virtual dominance, he completely lacks the financial resources and social standing to approach his wealthy, beautiful classmate Riku Rei in the real world. Their unspoken mutual affection relies entirely on their digital interactions until she suddenly gifts him a mysterious, highly classified device designed for a brand-new virtual reality game called Grave Buster. Before he can even process the cryptic present, an unknown faction violently kidnaps the young heiress and forcibly drags her directly into the unreleased digital environment. Terrified for her safety, the impoverished gamer desperately activates the device and plunges his own consciousness into the deadly, tomb-raiding simulation to mount a rescue mission. He immediately discovers that this new virtual landscape operates under ruthless, pay-to-win mechanics where wealthy players effortlessly crush normal users with purchased advantages. Ultimately, his desperate rescue operation transforms into a high-stakes, virtual crusade to utterly break a rigged economic system using pure skill before the digital kidnappers can permanently delete his only true friend.
