Ell used to be the most feared dragon in the demon realm, a full-power “king slayer” who now wants nothing more than to die properly and enjoy a peaceful retirement. That simple wish falls apart when even the latest challenger fails to defeat him, leaving him stuck alive and bored yet again. After a fated encounter with the sharp, secretive human mage Lafi, he somehow ends up as the reluctant guardian of her baby son, Dino, who might one day grow into the kind of warrior Ell has been waiting for. Training a future hero turns out to be far harder than crushing armies, and Ell suddenly finds his days filled with bottle feeding, naps, and clumsy “battle lessons” mixed in with demon world problems.
