Important News:
It's been a while since my last post about stuff related to the site and things have been slowly shifting towards our goal of providing high-quality releases without breaking the bank around here. Namely, spending $250/month on our server. Before I get too deep into our plans, I have some other important news to share with everyone.
Due to their lack of free time by becoming a corporate slave (just kidding btw), Zeust will be stepping down as our leader and I will be handling everything moving forward. Rest assured, Zeust will always remain as the almighty God of hi10 even in death.
Testing Out Our New Provider:
Starting in the spring 2025 season, we'll be including links to our B2 storage in posts alongside our existing links for our main server. This will allow us to get a better idea of performance when users are accessing the B2 storage and if any problems arise (slow download speeds under heavy traffic, etc.) that will need to be reviewed before fully committing to our proposed solution.
If things with our B2 storage testing proceed well over the spring 2025 season, we'll be able to reduce our monthly costs down to $112/month with the ability to scale up as needed. Whereas we can't scale up with our current server provider without getting a new configuration to allow for changes to network speeds and storage space increases as we're getting closer to our maximum capacity. It can go as low as $100/month, but since we're approaching our storage limits of 16tb, more space will be needed for future releases.
Feedback:
Be sure to let us know if you're experiencing issues with the B2 server in this post so everything can be centralized here. Here's hoping to a brighter and more affordable future for hi10anime!
Thanks to Zeust and everyone else for your efforts until now, looking forward to more years of your releases!
Let’s gooo.
Sad to hear that Zeust really clocks out, but thanks for all the years!

Thank you to everyone from Hi10Anime team who was involved even for a brief amount of time in the past.
Especially, playcool, you have outdid yourself. Thank you so much for taking out your quality time to provide many quality encodes.
I love you guys. I will always be here to support Hi10Anime.
P.S. If needed, I can upload my One Piece encodes on MEGA or GDrive since 807-1122. (not my best encodes but better than average, not ordered + 720p) – Hatsuyuki (807-998) + HatSubs(999-1122) + (Special Episodes from RedDeadProject – 1000, 1061,1062,1071-76).. everything mux by myself. Source is either 1080p and very hard to DL those Hatsuyuki episodes but I did them anyways.
P.S.S. Welcome to corporate life, zeust-kun.
Considering the file size has dramatically increased for 1080p. Getting 720p for One Piece would be awesome.
Hiso
Dunno if you are adressing our encodes now vs a few years ago, if so, the main difference is due to including OPED in the files, doing OCed chapters is just not viable anymore, and most releases don’t need it, since size can be kept in control with decent quality.
Anything that escapes that situation usually gets OCed release from me.
Encoding One Piece again would be a nightmare, and I think that series has never used OCed chapters for starts due to its length.
Since we are understaffed, I think it is not worth it, we would prefer to conver new airings.
I was replying to Ryuu, who (in my understanding) was offering to upload finished OnePiece episodes 807-1122 in 720p.
I would have to disagree considering my performance these past 2 years, if you are EXCLUDING airings, cuz yeah, each staff member has started to pick more of them so we can cover what is relevant.
But I have fallen of on my BD projects quite a lot, and a lot of them was almost ready just needed an extra push, but the longer you do this, the harder sometimes is to have motivation.
More recently the problem was imgur BS (previously uploaded all pics to my account) , which had me adapt quite a lot (now I don’t use one, and have to keep track of each pic link), and now I have just grown tired of dealing with all the steps that have to occur after you get your release ready, but before you can post it.
Dealing with all the HTML code when tackling a lot of projects is a nightmare, I always use more time than I would like, if you are curious what I m referring to,I have addressed it plenty here:

That kind of post exists due that, and me reliance on such post structure will only increase for airings moving forward.
I always followed and read your comments, playcool. You are already doing more than enough haha. Sometimes, our standards are higher, sometimes we OCD so we have to have everything perfect. I understand that, I am developer.
Don’t lose your motivation, You followed up on many projects over the years and encodes them with love. Thank you as always.
P.S. LordNoro, cheers, here is to the long journey ahead of us. Don’t overexhaust yourself, stay motivated.
Well, I do have this big list of projects I want to finish, outside big airings I have gotten in recent years, and I mean to finish them, many of them include classics, anime with A LOT of episodes that I have yet to be here properly.
So I want to at least get those done, and most of the work was already done along the last 2 years for it, the final bits are just a big pain.
If you are seeing me going back to upload BDs recently, it is because I finally got around to start clearing the queue, and these were the very first ones I wanted to get done with but there are at least 50-60 more projects I want to release before I settle down.
When I mean settle down is keep doing airings, but limit my BD releases more for airings that deserve it or have high demand for it, and inside those, there will be a more limited bunch of BD releases that will be higher quality OCed releases.
Those will always demand way more of my time than the rest, but my goal is also to avoid doing a lot of these.
Most of what I have been doing that is airing and is OCed will get a BD OCed release, the rest of stuff either don’t get a BD release or get one, but that doesn’t use OCed chapters and all the fuckery it involves.
And our hopes are that in the future stuff like AV1 keeps maturing and becoming good enough that might one day we might drop OCed releases for good, or keep them to the very minimum.
Thanks Zeust for the work all these years. And cheers to Hi10 moving forward, more anime’s to come
Sankyuu Zeustina-Tama for your efforts for more than a decade.
Good luck IRL, Exploring yourself and this wonderful world again.
This website is the first thing that comes to my mind when I want a high quality packaged anime, Thank you to the admins and everyone involved.
Hopefully we all have healthy lives to watch and download anime years from now on aswell hahaha xD
Good Luck and farewell! We won’t forget our mighty Hi10 god!
All hail our new lord..
also All hail our ex lord Zeust., welcome to 9/5 life cycle
I always look forward to your BD projects, playcool. In fact, I always look forward to most of BD projects from the rest of Hi10 Staff.
I understand, should definitely focus on the ones which are popular as well as recent. Shangri-la Frontier S01, is a good choice for BD, although its Web Rip is already top-notch. BluRay has better subtitles and few good added effects.
SVT-AV1 is going good. It has really good parameters. OC, maybe happen in near future but it’s definitely good for encoding. Just not compatible with playbacks etc, hopefully fixed soon. Eg: If you try to switch chapters, it can halt the episode.
Regardless of that, HEVC still doing good job. I am happy with it.
P S. Classic Anime definitely deserves the love. I have tried every encode available of Rorouni Kenshin from torrents, where people said, it’s definitely the best version. But, even someone claiming with R2J DVDs, had bad -2,-2 deblock, which looked worse than Hi10 DragonFox release which came long time ago already, by our beloved Zeust-kun. Just one of the examples, even if there is source claiming HD, it will not have same details and colors retained with bigger file size.
Most airings I did that were OCed chapters recently should get a BD release, for Shangri la I would want both seasons out in BD before I commit.
But most of times there is not a great reason to do BDs any more, you wont see a big quality increase, if anything Frieren was better in its web rip version…
HEVC does a good job, but if I want to rely on more demanding anime like Shangri la, without doing OCed releases, it is impossible to keep size under control while maintaining quality, in the future I want to avoid doing OCed as much as possible, thus codecs need to improve even more.
I was not talking about stuff like Rurouni Kenshin though.
All Lupin seasons, Urusei Yatsura, Ranma, Touch, Utena, Maison Ikkoku, etc.
I even have plans for a proper release of the first four Digimon seasons and 16 seasons of Pokemon, and it has all already been encoded… that was the easiest part, what cames next isnt.
Looking forward to those series – Utena, Ranma, Maison Ikkoku, Digimon, Pokemon, Lupin.
I was just giving an example about Kenshin, in general haha. Zeust-kun did justice to it. Another example is Kingdom, Higurashi, Steins Gate – from you. My point is, I love how the quality is retained with the best source possible. Grateful for it.
Anyways, quality should always come before size. I agree, codecs definitely needs to further improve to reduce the load of OCed releases also. Non-OC release is helpful in many ways, one can easily find subtitles for any language, without many issues – a plus point.
Regardless, thank you to whole Hi10 Staff for the new Airings. Many good series this year.
P.S. Unrelated – Also, looking forward to Demon Slayer – movies. Hopefully, we get web version sooner. I would definitely wait for it getting posted here ~> already read manga so I am patient enough to wait to watch it.
Don’t lose the login for the site registration, or DNS, or whatever that site disappearing issue was from the past.
I wish you all the best for your future, Zeust & Underlings
You’re the first and so far only group I donated a couple bucks here and there, as I think you are just that committed to Anime & their quality of release.
Keep up your amazing work for all of your fans <3
