Switched to DARK & DARK HTTPS

Our site has switched to the HTTPS protocol, which is more secure than the standard HTTP. The advantage of using HTTPS is that even if someone is looking at your transferred data over the network, they will not be able to figure out what you actually sent because it will be encrypted. It's like a sadistic move where the sniffer knows that you sent something but they won't ever know what was actually sent. While we're at it, using HTTP means that the sniffer, the one who somehow is seeing your network, knows that you sent something and what you sent specifically (credentials). Consequently, now that we're using darkness, when you login, your credentials will never go over the network in plain text but will be encrypted.

Overall, this upgrade is a power move and if words aren't enough:

Those who like to think a bit wild, then.

  1. I thought the site had been using https all this time. I don’t know why I thought of that. But anyway, it’s a good move. I know the certificate is expensive af. Keep up the good work.

    1. I thought that I should share that: We’re using a free certificate. It’s still as secure as any other certificate but without any considerable expenses. We don’t have the money to buy the expensive certificates; we’d rather get better servers if we had the money.

  5. Just an FYI, but your referral check for the files on this site specifically looks for http://hi10anime.com still, so now that the site’s https, requests get rejected for hotlinking if they have this site as a referrer.
