As the title suggests, it's an event where you are asked to create banners for this site. Since it's first event here, nothing complicated is involved in it. Everyone is eligible for it. Hope you'll be participating in it.
Things to abide by:
1- Resolution (size) for the banner should be 1000 x 288 (1000 pixels width | 288 pixels height)
2- There shouldn't be any nudity in banners' content. And the content must be relevant to anime.
3- Banner should have "Hi10 Anime" written on it.
4- Try to create your banner in .png since it retains quality better than .jpg
5- Send your banners with subject "Hi10-Banner" here hi10event@gmail.com
For reference, you can see banners above at the top of site's each page. Each banner will be checked by me ( and / or others) for approval. Accepted banners will be used for the site in future.
This event will last till 1st March, 2013. Anything sent on / after 1st March, 2013 will not be accepted.

oh come on! you know what i meant. one way or another we get our fansubs through here, even if they arn’t the ACTUAL ones subbing them. they just make ’em nice n tiny to please our hard drives =)

About the prize….
Well, there isn’t any.
We already have enough banners (some might know RxR recently made some very good banners, as you can see above) and I just made this event for fun. For your participation and all.
Maybe next time there will be some prize:)
The prize is that the best banners will be added to the website, isn’t that enough?:)

I have a question! π I’ve been looking for the owner of the banner at the top of the page. Not the one that is currently your banner, but the one that has Lelouch in the middle and characters from The Melancholy of Haruhi on the side. I have featured it on a site of mine because I couldn’t find someone to ask permission, but I stumbled upon this. I’d really like to get permission if I could. If not, I would understand. But I would really appreciate it. π

I guess the part I’m wondering about is using characters from a show you don’t own, like screenshots instead of your own artwork. I know that’s a weird question considering what this entire page is about. π But yeah.
Well, a screenshot would not get you in any trouble. Yet, it’s very dull to just use a simple screenshot as a banner. So usually screenshots are edited and then banners come into existence. In short, you’re good to go.
How about the background image? I notice Ichigo is still used there not that i mind though

Leaving it blank will make it blank… That’s all. It depends upon the selection of your background color etc… Besides, for the time being don’t be concerned about background thing. This event is for banners, so just concentrate on that.

Yes, we should announce the first 3 positions! And probably it’s a good idea to select the best 50, if there are 50 which looks nice.
How much of them are overall? I think you should upload them, so other encoders can see it too… well, maybe all of the staff members should select 1 banner which he thinks is the best π We could add them besides the other 50 (if it isn’t included yet), or something like that.
